Merchants

Mark 11:15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves; 16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. 17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. 18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

I wonder what Jesus would should he walk into a church this days. Even though churches are not infested with merchants selling livestock for sacrifices the church is filled with traders and trafickers of the word of God. These merchants become rich preaching and think they are making God favors building mega churches and hosting tv shows. These merchants use the pulpit to promote themselves, to gain fame, to exalt themselves instead of giving God all the glory.

Jesus said that the world would hate anyone who followed his word, but this traders of the word brag about how the world loves them "look Oprah and Tyler Perry visited my church" "look my self help book got published" they brag about the rocognition the world gives them, but they forget that they're already getting thier payement.

I would like to see these people preaching in the streets where they can't win anything but souls, where they won't get any money on the contrary they would have to give. I don't want to see them talking to Oprah, to Larry King. If Jesus came to your church what would he do?
