Learning it, word by word.

John 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Today I was watching my favorite movie which I hadn't watch in a long time. I was getting some things ready while watching the movie and I wasn't paying all that much attention to the movie, but it was surprising to find out that I din't need to because I knew exactly what was going on and what every character's next line was going to be, I have learnt the movie line by line it seems.

We usually find our selves learning the lines in movies, the lyrics to our favorite songs, the motto our favorite business, but there is one elemental thing that we are forgetting to learn, The Scriptures.

This week I read about a man filing a lawsuit against a couple of Bible publishers, the news date back to 2008 and  the case was dismissed and that makes people think that means the Bible is safe, they could not be more wrong. The Bible is under attack and is not safe at all, if you don't believe me I invite you to read John 5:4, or Acts 8:37 in your New International Version (NIV) those verses have been erased and that's just to name a few. If we don't put the Bible in our heart soon we will be deceived, we'll find that the Bible has been altered and there will be nothing that we can do about it.

God Tells Joshua in Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Meditating in the Bible, searching the scriptures is the only way that we can be ready for the storm that is coming, lets not that storm shake our foundations, lets keep the scripture in our hearts, ultimately we might be the only ones that can teach our children and grandchildren the truth.

Who keeps your marriage?

Psalms 127:1 the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
According to the latest statistics divorce is increasing in an alarming rate, in these times is much easier to file for divorce than to fight to save a marriage. The average duration of a marriage is seven years, and one of every two marriages ends in divorce. The alarming thing about this is what happens after divorce. Divorce causes trauma to both affected and have children if these are even more affected, according to the writer Jeannette Lofas only 45% of children successfully overcome the divorce of their parents. The divorce of a couple takes pain to loved ones and often impossible to make wounds heal. One of the reasons that divorce causes pain in children is that at least one parent pay less attention to them and in many cases this happened in of both parents. Divorce also cause fear among those who have experimented with their loved ones and this is one of the main causes of the increase in civil unions. What is the key to avoiding this?

The Bible says that the first institution was marriage, family, and that's exactly what Satan wants to destroy. The key to a lasting marriage is put in the middle of one who instituted. When we find someone who knows how to be faithful to God is much more likely they will be faithful to us. The Bible says that God must be one who builds our projects and keep you, and marriage has to be a project for life. If you are contemplating marriage I recommend that before seeking a spouse seek God, if you're thinking of marrying ask God that builds your marriage and if you are already married I would like to ask you who keep your marriage?

Alarming statistics of divorce

Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Last year I was talking with a brother in Christ and we were both wondering what the world has come to when all that is correct is now hated, when the knowledge of God is now being called hate. For instant what would happen if you and me organize a straight pride parade? I'll leave it to you to decide. I've read many celebrities offering apologies for saying what they think about gays and lesbians, I've seen them come under fire for comments, how often do people apologize for comments that offend Christians?

We as society have been molded to accept one way tolerance, I've seen movies where they won't offend certain groups, specially lgbt, but would have a field day making jokes and offending Christians,  do you think they would ever make a dogma (the movie) style parody about homosexuality? certainly not in these days. I remember when last year Ender's game movie was going to come out there were boycott talks all due to Orson Scott Card's views in same sex marriage, what if a Christian group called to boycott a movie starring, produced or directed by a gay person? They would call it hate, no doubt in my mind.

Christians have to stand for what is right even though though the world now calls right evil and they call, and evil they call it good. What would happen if a Christian mayor subpoenas anything from a lgbt organization?

Don't be scared to stand up for what is right, remember Matthew 5:12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

For the serpent told me so

Genesis 3:13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God they tried to blame others for their sin, telling God that is wasn't their fault, it was somebody else's fault for deceiving them, of course God wasn't any of it and He threw them out of the garden.  

Today we have many leaders and pastors preaching easy Christianity, world friendly Christianity, and many more wrong teachings, these leaders are deceiving many people making them believe that Christianity should be as easy as eating cake, but Jesus himself describe that Christianity was going to be as easy as carrying a cross.

We have to remember that salvation is individual and everybody will be responsible for their own. All the false teachers, leaders, and pastor will face their own punishment, but so are those who follow them ignoring the word of God. Don't compromise your salvation, follow the Bible instead of human teachings. Eve tried to blame the serpent, but God knew that eve was responsible for her sin, when we get to the great white throne nobody will be responsible for your actions but your self.
